

The Alzheimer’s Society is hosting a free festival for Leicester’s diverse communities and age groups. The purpose is ‘to get the conversation’ about dementia started.
There will be free food and drinks, performances, workshops, hearing checks and free information and advise.
Could you please look to share this information with your networks and service users, and wh5ere possible print out a poster to display. This will be incredibly helpful in enabling us to ensure that the festival has the biggest impact.
Alzheimer’s Society Forget Me Not Festival (celebrating culture, care and connection) in June. The festival has been co-created and co-designed by people affected by dementia. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and to ‘get the conversation started’ for Leicester’s diverse communities and age groups.

Time: 11am-3pm
Location: King Power Stadium – LCFC (Hospitality Entrance)
There will be
- Back to back acts on the main stage including: BOND Ukelele, Bilingual Singing for the Brain in English and Gujarati, Virtual Motion and performances from Akasha Odedra Company and the Centre for Indian Classical Dance
- Workshops including: Percussion Discussion, Intergenerational Yoga, Intergenerational Dementia Friends Session and South Asian Dancing
- Free LCFC Stadium Tours
- Information, Stalls and Advice including AGEUK, DementiaUK, NIHR, LMMB, Rainbows Care Group, Home Instead, LLR Talking Therapies, Healthwatch, Jamila’s Legacy, Shama Women’s Centre, SAHA, LOROS and much more
- Free RNID Hearing Checks
- On site SAHA community ambassadors to support with language translation
