Hot Meal Provisions

As the winter is approaching, there will be lot of families/individuals who will struggle to put food on their table and have to chose between feed family or to keep their house warm.

Below are the list of organisation/Services who provides free meals in the community and the food pantry or community food shops which offer food items at discounted rate then the local super market.

The Bridge Homelessness to Hope	43 Melton St, LE1 3NB	Monday to Friday 9:30am-2:30pm, Saturday 9am-1pm	Provides breakfast/lunch. A small charge (£1) may apply for those who are not clients.
Saturday Stop-By	St James the Greater Church, LE2 1NA	Saturdays 11:00am-1:00pm	Offers hot and cold refreshments and a hot cooked lunch for those who are homeless, destitute or socially isolated.
Sikh Gurdwaras	Various (e.g., Guru Tegh Bahadur Gurdwara, LE5 4QB)	Meals served all day	Sikh Gurdwaras (temples) offer free meals (langar) to everyone, regardless of faith or background.
No.5 Leicester Recovery Hub	68 Humberstone Gate, LE1 3PL	Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm (3:00pm on Fridays)	Provides breakfast rolls and hot drinks; mainly for people suffering from alcohol and substance abuse.
Triangle	Holy Trinity Church	Fridays 6:15pm	Offers a hot meal for homeless or vulnerably housed people every Friday evening.
Wesley Hall Community Centre	76 Hartington Road, LE2 0GN	Monday 12.00pm	A community meal program that offers free, nutritious meals every Monday, fostering community spirit and providing social support.

• These are community food shops which offers goods at discounted rate than the local supermarkets.

1. Belgrave food hub, 131 Loughborough Road, every Wednesday 10am -1pm, £5 annual membership fee and collect 12 items at discounted rate.
2. Wesley Hall Community Centre, 76 Hartington Road, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10am -1pm. On Monday 9am pay £6 to collect the food ticket and wait for food pantry to open at 10am.
3. Community shop Stocking Farm, 26 Marwood Road, LE4 2ED, Open Mon – Friday 9am – 4:30pm, Sat 8.30am – 3pm.
4. Leicester Community Benefit Society, Pilgrim House, 10 Bishop Street, LE1 6AF. Open Mon – Thursday 9.30am -4pm and Friday 9.30am -2pm.
5. Somali development service, 39a Abingdon Road, LE2 1HA, every Wednesday 10am -12pm, Pay one of membership fee £5 and collect 10 food items.
6. Open Hands Compassion Centre, 19 Lower Willow Street, LE1 2HP, every Tuesday and Thursday 10am -12pm
7. Zinthiya Trust, 12 Bishop Street, LE1 6AF, Mon – Fri 9.30am – 4pm for emergency food, baby food, Sanitary Products, daily essentials etc
8. Eyres Monsell Club for Young People, 170 Whitteney Drive, Eyres Monsell LE2 9AQ, £2.50 membership for 3 months, £5 for 6 months, £10 for 12 months, opens Mon – 12pm – 2pm & 6pm-8pm(free, greggs, tea and coffee) Tues 10am-12pm, Thurs 12pm -2pm, Sat 10am-1pm.
